Brampton Enhances Road Safety with New Automated Speed Enforcement Centre

The City of Brampton is prioritizing road safety with the establishment of a new Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Regional Processing Centre, approved by the City Council. This initiative involves hiring 42 new staff members and expanding the ASE program, aiming to change driver behaviours and enhance safety on the roads. Mayor Patrick Brown views ASE tickets as a deterrent for reckless driving, while Regional Councillor Rowena Santos emphasizes the city’s commitment to road safety and enhancing residents’ quality of life. The new centre, located at 175 Sandalwood Parkway West, Brampton, will be operational by the summer of 2024, with plans to increase ASE cameras from 50 to 185 by the summer of 2025 and implement additional safety measures around schools.
