Thank you to everyone who attended the 2025 Budget Chat for Wards 1 & 5 on January 14, where we discussed fiscal priorities and community-focused initiatives. City of Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown presented the proposed 2025 Budget, emphasizing affordability, infrastructure upgrades, health care, and expanded community spaces to enhance residents’ quality of life. Key investments include $300M for transit facilities, $29M for a new community centre and library, and $81.1M in health care reserves. A 2.9% property tax levy increase balances these investments with operational savings, maintaining Brampton’s affordability and growth momentum.

Residential Rental Licensing Starts JAN 2024

The Residential Rental Licensing (RRL) Pilot Program, a two-year initiative for rental landlord registration and licensing, was approved during the March 29, 2023 Committee of Council meeting. The program’s framework was subsequently presented to the Committee of Council on September 20, 2023, and received unanimous approval.
2023 Year in Review

2023 was our team’s first full year of the term of council. We set the stage for the next 3 years of hard work and city building.
