Brampton Neighbourhood Association Guide available plus new neighbourhood grant opportunity

Brampton City Council approved a new Neighbourhood Association Guide during the June 21, 2023 Committee of Council meeting, including a new grant stream of up to $1,500 for eligible groups and projects. The guide provides valuable information to residents on how to establish their own neighbourhood associations, foster a sense of community and encourage collaborative efforts to improve Brampton’s diverse neighbourhoods.

Luminato Festival Returns to Brampton with Walk with Amal

The Luminato Festival is returning to Brampton on Friday, June 9 with the world-wide sensation, Walk with Amal. The event is an opportunity to participate in a global movement of hope and solidarity. Walk with Amal features a colossal 12-ft puppet representing a 10-year-old Syrian refugee, symbolizing the resilience and courage of displaced children around the world.

Historic investment for the arts in Brampton

A historic investment of over $16M was allocated in the 2023 City of Brampton Budget for the arts, including the design of a new Arts & Culture Centre. Councillor Santos is assuring residents that the Lester B. Pearson Theatre will remain within the Brampton Civic Centre facility and will be jointly used by the City and students attending the new Toronto Metropolitan University Medical School.
