Today, the City of Brampton broke ground on Fire Station 215, a modern and environmentally sustainable facility that will enhance emergency response in the City’s fast-growing northeast community to support the dedicated work of Brampton Fire and Emergency Services (BFES).

In addition to its life-saving benefits, Station 215 supports Brampton’s climate goals. The new 11,377 square-foot two-bay fire station will be fully electric and equipped with electric fire trucks, a hose tower, a green roof and rooftop solar panels. It will also include energy-efficient HVAC equipment, building automation systems and all-electric infrastructure. This new station is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by close to 15 tonnes annually, equivalent to removing more than four gas-powered vehicles from the road or planting 666 trees per year.
This project reflects the City’s broader commitment to strengthening emergency services, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing first responders with the tools and facilities they need to keep residents safe.
Station 215 is anticipated to be complete in the fall of 2026. Once operational, it will significantly improve emergency response times in the area, an essential factor in protecting lives and property during emergencies.
