If You Don’t Report It, Police Can’t Resource It — Safety Town Hall Insights
Only 1 in 5 residents who experienced petty crime actually reported it to police. That means the footage on your Ring camera, the car door checks at 3 a.m., the package stolen off your porch — if it’s not reported, police don’t know it’s happening, and they can’t direct resources to your neighbourhood. That was one of the biggest takeaways from the Community Safety Town Hall, and it’s exactly what Councillor Santos is bringing to the Peel Police Services Board this Friday.
