Record Breaking Youth Council Turnout for Teramoto Park Clean-Up

Local youth turned out in record breaking numbers on Sunday (April 14, 2024) to participate in a clean-up event at Teramoto Park in Brampton, Ontario. In its second annual year, attendance tripled compared to last year. The event was organized by high school student and Youth Council lead Pradwit Thapa and drew over 350 students from across Peel Region. The event was supported by Councillor Santos Youth Council, People Against Littering, Let’s Get Together, City of Brampton Parks and Rec, The Black Youth Creative, Councillor Rowena Santos and Mayor Patrick Brown. Walmart Canada logistics staff were on site for the event with water, snacks and motivation.
