Community Safety Update: February 2024

Thank you to the many residents and businesses in downtown Brampton and across Wards 1 & 5, for providing feedback regarding community safety issues. In the fall of 2023, we hosted a Community Safety Townhall meeting with residents, in collaboration with the Region of Peel and Peel Police. Several items have been actioned including recent announcements and advocacy related to auto-theft, increased support for Place-based Peel Outreach, Neighbourhood Associations , Peel Police CIRT and more. The work to tackle mental health and addictions, homelessness, and crime, particularly in the downtown core is ongoing.
