Puppy Masquerade at Duggan Park

Thank you to everyone that joined Councillor Santos for the 1st Puppy Masquerade at Duggan Park’s Off-Leash Area. The day was as bright as the smiles on the faces of dog lovers who gathered to celebrate our furry best friends with many in costume! This was no ordinary Sunday in the park; it was an extraordinary day filled with puppy love, charming costumes, information booths and unforgettable memories.

A Paw-some Parade

Dogs of all sizes flaunted their creative ensembles, from dragons to superheroes, and even the Magic School Bus. The competition was fierce, but the fun was equally intense!

A big hit was the Dog Parade led by local mascots Sparky from Brampton Fire & Emergency Services and Hammer from the Brampton Honey Badgers alongside Councillor Santos. They guided a spirited pack of pups and their proud owners in a lively parade through Duggan Park.

We also uncovered the incredible work of our local animal heroes from Brampton Animal Services. They shared insights on pet licensing, coyotes, and  the importance of animal adoption and fostering. We had the pleasure of meeting Bino and Tony who are in search of their forever homes.

Community Spirit and Giving Back

The Puppy Masquerade also had a heartwarming side, as it served as a platform for the community to come together and give back. We express our heartfelt gratitude for all the donations to the Pet Food Pantry and the Hope Fund. It was a reminder that, beyond the fun and games, the event also aimed to make a positive impact on the lives of pets in need.
