June is a special month in Brampton as the city celebrates Recreation and Parks Month along with Seniors Month. These events highlight the wonderful parks, trails, and recreational facilities that make Brampton a vibrant place to live.

Recreation and Parks Month
Recreation and Parks Month is a time to appreciate Brampton’s network of parks, trails, and recreational amenities. This month is an excellent opportunity for residents to explore these spaces and enjoy various activities.
International Yoga Day
- Date: Friday, June 21, 2024
- Time: 7-9 pm
- Location: Mount Pleasant, 100 Commuter Dr.
Additionally, throughout June, recreation centres across Brampton are offering a variety of free drop-in programs. Residents are encouraged to try new activities and stay active with their family and friends. More details can be found at Brampton Recreation Month.
Seniors Month
June is also Seniors Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of older adults in Brampton. The month is filled with events and activities honoring seniors and highlighting their importance in the community.
70+ Free Membership Launch Event
- Date: Tuesday, June 4, 2024
- Time: 11 am
- Location: Cassie Campbell Community Centre, 1050 Sandalwood Pkwy W.

Seniors Springfest Expo, Luncheon, and Dance
- Date: Friday, June 14, 2024
- Expo Time: 10 am – 12 pm
- Lunch and Dance Time: 12 pm – 3 pm
- Location: Century Gardens Recreation Centre, 340 Vodden St E
Registration for residents is $17.03 plus HST, and $22.14 plus HST for non-residents. Registration can be completed in-person at any City of Brampton recreation centre, by calling 3-1-1 or online with a City of Brampton Recreation registration account.
Participants will be able to enjoy a buffet-style lunch, music, singing, dancing and entertainment provided by a live DJ.
