City of Brampton takes strong, strategic action in response to U.S. Tariff Threats
Brampton City Council is taking decisive action against proposed U.S. tariffs by advocating for reciprocal measures and federal support to protect local businesses. The newly established Mayor’s Tariff Task Force will engage with U.S. municipalities, support business outreach, and diversify trade relationships. The city is calling on the federal government for emergency financial aid to help businesses remain competitive amid shifting trade conditions.
