Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras are helping to keep Brampton’s roads safer by encouraging drivers to slow down gradually, especially near schools and in Community Safety Zones. In one case, an ASE camera recorded a vehicle going 200 km/h on McVean Drive, underscoring just how dangerous extreme speeding can be. These cameras are a proven, effective alternative to physical speed bumps on wider, busy roads where safety and traffic flow both matter.
