The T20 World Cup Trophy Tour

The City of Brampton hosted an event on May 11 at Ken Whillans Square to celebrate and send off Team Canada as they prepare for the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup in June. Notable players attended, including team captain Saad Bin Zafar, who expressed his excitement about playing in the World Cup for the first time.
Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown emphasized the city’s commitment to cricket, announcing an $8 million investment in cricket infrastructure and the launch of a Youth Cricket League starting July 2, 2024. Brampton will also develop a year-round cricket dome at Earnscliffe Park. This event highlights Brampton’s dedication to cricket and its diverse community and showcases the passion towards the sport.
