Record-Breaking Youth Council Clean-up for Teramoto Park

Brampton’s Teramoto Park saw a remarkable turnout on Sunday, April 14, 2024, as local youth rallied for a clean-up event. Led by high school co-op student Pradwit Thapa, supported by Councillor Santos Youth Council, and various community organizations, the event attracted over 350 students from across Peel Region, tripling last year’s attendance.

Notable supporters included People Against Littering, Let’s Get Together, City of Brampton Parks and Rec, Community Artist Chloe Woolridge-The Black Youth Creative, Mayor Patrick Brown, Councillor Rowena Santos, and Walmart Canada logistics staff who provided water, snacks, and encouragement. Emphasizing the event’s significance is to aim and foster a culture of environmental responsibility in the residents and beyond, while Pradwit Thapa expressed gratitude for the impactful collaboration, highlighting the collective effort in creating a cleaner, greener Brampton. We believe this can be a learning lesson which can help transform the society for betterment.
