Brampton to help local businesses find markets other than U.S. ahead of tariff threat

In response to the looming U.S. tariffs, Brampton is creating a task force aimed at helping local businesses identify new global and interprovincial markets. The task force will engage with U.S. stakeholders and explore trade opportunities, such as exports to Saudi Arabia. Mayor Patrick Brown urged the federal government to provide emergency funding to assist businesses seeking alternatives to the U.S. market. Additionally, discussions are underway to remove interprovincial trade barriers and create seamless trade across Canada.
