Brampton honours Bill Davis with Memorial Artwork and Proclamation

The City of Brampton has announced plans for a memorial artwork at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum, and Archives (PAMA) dedicated to the Honourable William “Bill” Grenville Davis, former Premier of Ontario. Designed by artists Xiaojing Yan and Lilly Otasevic, the monument titled “Contours of Connection” was selected through a national competition for its abstract shapes that, when viewed from certain angles, reveal a silhouette of Bill Davis and the words ‘educate’ and ‘inspire’. Brampton has also declared July 30, 2024, as Bill Davis Day, an annual observance to commemorate his significant contributions to the city, Peel Region, and the province of Ontario.
