Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor for Brampton, shared insights from her canvassing efforts in Macomb County, Michigan, during the Thanksgiving long weekend. Despite the complexity of campaigning in another country, she felt it was essential to participate in such a historically significant election. Together with colleagues from different regions, she canvassed 500 doors, engaging voters in a highly contested race. While remaining neutral about her Canadian background, she focused on encouraging voter participation, particularly among women, in a region traditionally aligned with the Republican Party.
