Identifying and locating encampments without using personal identifiable information is challenging. Encampment residents are often transient, move frequently, have multiple tents/sites, and may be in unsafe terrains. A list of improvements implemented done are as follows. Security Services created new internal processes to identify and locate sites.
b) Improvement: Interactive GIS Mapping Application (required)
An interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) application is in development to enable partners to better locate encampments.
