Plan Your Easter Weekend in Brampton: What You Need to Know about Services, Closures, and Schedules!

The Easter long weekend in Brampton is an excellent opportunity to spend quality time with family, attend church services or reflect on the season. Despite some closures and schedule changes, essential services will continue to operate as usual, and there will still be plenty of fun activities to enjoy. Remember to indulge in some delicious Easter treats, because as they say, chocolate is always a good idea! We wish you a happy and blessed Easter weekend.

Here’s what you need to know about the City of Brampton essential services, closures, and reduced schedules:

Brampton Transit:

Brampton Transit will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Friday, April 7 and Sunday, April 9. It will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Saturday, April 8 and Monday, April 10. Customer service counters at the terminals will have reduced hours on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Read more

Brampton Recreation Centres will operate under a reduced schedule over the Easter weekend. Check the holiday hours schedule for more details. Read more

Brampton Library:

All Brampton Library branches will be closed on April 7, 9 and 10. However, you can still access online services like e-books, audiobooks, and educational platforms. Read more

Brampton Animal Services:

The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on April 7 and 10. It will be open on April 8 by appointment only. Animal Control will be available for emergencies only outside of regular hours. Read more

Essential and Critical Services:

All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations, and Security Services will operate as usual.

Closures:

City Hall and all City of Brampton administrative offices will be closed from April 7 – 10, reopening on April 11.
