Outdoor Community Ice Rink Opens at Duggan Park – Skate Donations Requested

A new outdoor community ice rink is now open in the parking lot of Duggan Park at 75 Vodden St E in Brampton. The ice surface is kept frozen with an ice rink chiller that allows use of the rink well above freezing. The rink is open from 9am to 10pm daily. Residents are asked to be considerate and prioritize the needs of young children and families. Picnic tables and rubber mats are provided for the convenience of skaters coming on and off the ice. Residents are asked to help keep the area safe and clean and the ice surface in good condition.

A Skate Donation Drive is also underway to provide assistance to local residents. Residents can drop-off new and gently used at Brampton Fire Station 207, located at 75 Vodden St E between 7am and 10pm daily throughout the winter season. These skates will be distributed to children in need in our community.

The rink is available for shinny hockey (9am-12pm, 3pm-7pm) and pleasure Skating (12pm-3pm, 7pm-10pm). Participants under 10 years of age must be under supervision of a parent or guardian and helmets are strongly recommended for all participants. Report any issues to 311.
