Peel Regional Police have designed a number of certificate programs that will teach citizens to keep themselves, their families and their property safe. These courses are offered free of charge and are available only to adult (18 and over) residents or persons employed in the Region of Peel. Space is limited, on a first come first served basis. All required sessions must be attended to receive a certificate. The registration is via email only, Register yourself by email.

Crime Prevention Academy (General) - Look back Summer/Fall 2025
You will learn the basics of crime prevention, vehicle safety, home security, personal safety and fraud prevention.
- Runs 5 consecutive Tuesdays. November 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th & December 3rd, 2024
- You must be registered in order to attend the sessions.
Week 1: Auto Theft Prevention, Road Safety/Road Watch
Week 2: Counterfeit Detection, Frauds & Scams
Week 3: Crime Stoppers, Neighbourhood Watch (Mississauga), Neighbourhood Association (Brampton)
Week 4: Human Trafficking, Home Security Basics/CPTED
Week 5: Run, Hide, Defend
It is a requirement to attend all five sessions in order to receive the Crime Prevention Academy certificate.

Cyber Academy
The Cyber Academy is a four night academy designed to inform citizens on safe online practices, the potential risks of the internet, including cyber-fraud, media addiction, countering hate, child exploitation and much more.
Due to subject matter, participants must be 18 years of age and over. Some computer skills are beneficial but not necessary.
You must be registered in order to attend the sessions. The Cyber Academy will run on four consecutive Wednesdays, April 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the City of Mississauga.
