This June, the City of Brampton is celebrating Seniors Month, honouring the generations of older adults whose contributions have built and shaped the thriving, inclusive and vibrant community Brampton is today.
This year’s theme, Fit, Active and Healthy Seniors, highlights the importance of connections and activities to promote aging with grace and dignity. Understanding the vital role physical activity, mental wellness and emotional well-being play in healthy aging, Brampton delivers programs, services and supports helping seniors stay active, safe and connected, guided by its
Age Friendly Strategy.
“Older adults bring wisdom, resilience and a strong sense of community to Brampton , and we
are thankful for all that you do. I am proud of the strides we have made through our AgeFriendly Strategy to ensure seniors feel supported and empowered at every stage of aging.
This month is about recognizing their impact and ensuring they continue to thrive, stay
connected and have access to meaningful programs and services.”
– Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor, Wards 1 & 5; Chair, Community Services Section,
