The Ontario Big City Mayors (OBCM) have launched the “Solve the Crisis” campaign, calling on provincial and federal governments to take responsibility and provide needed support. They propose appointing a dedicated ministry, creating an action plan, and investing in crisis centers.

Downtown Brampton Neighbourhood Tackles Community Safety Challenges

Over 40 residents participated in the Central Public School Community Safety Workshop along with representatives from Peel Police, Region of Peel Human Services, By-law Enforcement, City Security, the City’s Community Safety team, Welcoming Streets Outreach, Regeneration Outreach, Mayor Brown, Councillor Santos and Councillor Vicente and their support teams.

First Youth Hub in Brampton Opens

Brampton celebrated youth week with the grand opening of its first official Youth Hub, located at the Susan Fennell Sportsplex. The Youth Hub will provide inclusive services and activities for youth ages 14 to 29.
