Regional Councillor Brampton Wards 1 & 5

Tackling Brampton’s Housing Crisis

I grew up in Brampton with my immigrant parents who were able to realize the Canadian dream of buying a house, raising children and seeing them thrive. In the past decade, this dream has become unattainable for many, especially the younger generations and those who don’t currently own a home. Brampton has committed to building 113,000 homes in the next 10 years to increase the national housing supply. This entails building the infrastructure to support this incredible growth and ensure our quality of life at minimum stays the same.

Please engage with me on your thoughts on our plan. I’ve written a short series to give you a glimpse into the work involved, and the financial challenges we face in ensuring our children can also realize the Canadian dream.
