Sept. 27, 2025, marks 10 years since Jennifer Neville-Lake’s three children and father were killed by impaired driver Marco Muzzo in Vaughan. Since then, she has endured her husband’s suicide and a house fire that destroyed her children’s urns, while continuing to speak publicly about grief and justice. Neville-Lake created a “survival toolbox” to cope, imagining the lives her children might have lived, while running a charity in their memory. MADD Canada says her advocacy remains vital, as impaired driving still kills and injures hundreds in Canada every year despite growing awareness.
