Urban Congestions due to oversized vehicles

During the roundtable, Councillor Rowena Santos spoke about the dangers posed by oversized pickup trucks and SUVs, highlighting her personal experience with aggressive driving on rural roads. She also tackled issues related to urban congestion in Brampton, attributing much of it to prolonged construction projects and poor traffic coordination. Santos stressed the importance of reducing construction timeframes to alleviate traffic and financial pressure on municipalities. She also challenged misconceptions about bike lanes being a major source of congestion, pointing out that construction-related delays were the real culprit.
