Brampton Updates on Success of Residential Rental Licensing Pilot Program

Brampton’s RRL Pilot Program, aimed at ensuring safer living conditions, has issued over 2,200 licenses and performed more than 4,700 inspections. The program enforces compliance with Property Standards By-laws, Fire, and Building Codes for landlords with one to four units. To date, the initiative has resulted in over $83,500 in fines for violations. A progress report will be presented at the Committee of Council on September 18, 2024.
