The Ontario government has announced a $29.8 million investment to support Brampton’s development of 12,900 housing units and enhance downtown infrastructure. The funding, part of Ontario’s Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund, will advance Brampton’s Riverwalk project, creating resilient urban spaces and unlocking significant residential and commercial opportunities. This investment is a crucial step in addressing Brampton’s housing needs and supporting the city’s rapid growth.
City of Brampton officially opens new Automated Speed Enforcement Processing Centre
Brampton has unveiled its new Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) Processing Centre, making it Ontario’s largest and most advanced facility for road safety enforcement. The Centre, supported by 42 new hires, aims to process traffic violations faster and more efficiently, helping deter speeding across the province. With plans to deploy 185 ASE cameras by 2025, Brampton is setting a new standard in road safety and community protection.
