Wards 1 and 5 Regional Councillor Rowena Santos is asking residents to report experiences with petty crimes such as car break-ins, shed thefts, and package theft. The survey aims to identify where incidents are happening, how often they occur, and which prevention measures residents want prioritized. Santos says community input will help guide collaboration with Peel Regional Police and the city’s Community Safety & Well-Being Office. Despite plans to add 475 frontline officers, she argues more localized action is needed to address residents’ safety concerns.
