Peel’s New Coordinated Homeless Encampment Policy Launch Backed by City of Brampton

The new policy unites Peel Region, Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon in a first-of-its-kind approach to homelessness and encampments. It includes clear operational protocols, health and housing supports, and ‘no encampment zones’ in high-risk areas. Brampton’s internal Encampment Response Team will work with community and emergency partners to implement the policy.
